Welcome to my web site.  I am Bette Deller, and I would love to help guide you through the real estate process.  I am credentialed and experienced, and can offer you the full service of my company, Long & Foster Real Estate, and its lender and title company partners.

Long & Foster has the largest market share in the Mid-Atlantic area, is highly respected in the area and the country, and is widely known for its integrity and professional service.  I am proud to be associated with Long & Foster, and because of its position in the marketplace and the tools it offers its realtors, I can offer you a wide variety of services.

I have been licensed in the state of Maryland since the year 2000, and I am a member of the Prince George's County Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.  I am also a member of the Distinguished Sales Club of the Prince George's County Association of Realtors (PGCAR).

I am a full time realtor currently based in the Greater Silver Spring, Maryland office located at 12520 Prosperity Drive, Suite 105, Silver Spring, MD, 20904. As a former teacher, I value education and have increased my professional knowledge about real estate by earning several advanced real estate designations through study, examination, and meeting production quotas beyond what is required for re-licensing.  These designations include:

  • Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)

  • Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI)

  • Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES)

  • Certified Home Stager

I am also equipped with many real estate tools to help me do a great job for my clients, including attractive flyers, virtual tours, e-Newsletters, direct mailings, internet marketing, Voice Pad, Open Houses, print ads, and more. I also have a blogging page and a presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.  Another tool I offer is something called "Talking House." With it, I am able to record a description of the features of my listings onto a transmitter placed inside the property.  Home buyer prospects who drive by the property can tune in on their car radio and listen to all the wonderful features of the property. This is a terrific tool to help houses sell fast and something that not many realtors offer.

Voice Pad is a tool that I have which is similar to Talking House.  It allows prospects with smart phones to send a text message to a special number and receive photos and text information about the property directly from the MLS.  It also allows prospects with ordinary cell phones to call a special number and listen to an audio description about the property.

As a former school teacher, I have learned to be organized, detail-oriented, patient, hard-working, and diplomatic.  These are the skills needed in real estate as well.  Since I value education, I continue to arm myself with knowledge by regularly attending real estate seminars, webinars,  and training classes in order to provide my clients with the best possible service and the knowledge that empowers them to make good decisions. 

When I was a teacher, I belonged to several educators' groups including "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" and "The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International," a women educator's honorary. I also trained student teachers, wrote curriculum, did some demonstration teaching, and led some workshops for in-service teachers.  As a realtor, I have helped many buyers and sellers and have also trained and mentored many new realtors.  Let me use my real estate training and skills honed as an educator and a realtor to help guide you through the home buying or home selling process and help you make sound decisions.

That said, in my experience as a real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
